Pedestrian Crash On Montgomery Highway Dothan, Teenager Killed

DOTHAN, Ala. — An 18-year-old man was killed Sunday night after being struck by two vehicles while crossing Montgomery Highway, police said.

The Dothan Police Department reported receiving a call shortly after 7 p.m. on Feb. 8 regarding a pedestrian collision in the 4700 block of Montgomery Highway near the Dothan Pavilion Shopping Center. Responding officers located David Allen Tice of Dothan in the roadway, where he was pronounced deceased.

Investigators determined that Tice was crossing from La Parilla toward Walmart when he was struck by a southbound vehicle. He was then hit by a following vehicle that was unable to see him in the roadway. The department’s CRASH Team is continuing its investigation, and authorities stated that no charges are expected at this time.

Police offered condolences to Tice’s family and friends. A GoFundMe fundraiser has been launched to assist with funeral and related costs and had raised nearly $2,000 as of Tuesday.
