Clinton Warren and Nelson Okuoimose Car Crash Richland, LA Death, Obituary: Tragic Loss
A devastating collision along Interstate 20 claimed the lives of two men Thursday morning, leaving families across state lines in mourning. According to Louisiana State Police, the fatal crash occurred just after 10 a.m. on Feb. 12, 2026, on westbound I-20 near Louisiana Highway 3249, also known as Well Road, in Ouachita Parish.
Authorities identified the victims as 46-year-old Clinton Warren of Vina, Alabama, and 45-year-old Nelson Okuoimose of Laveen, Arizona. Troopers with Louisiana State Police Troop F responded to the two-vehicle crash involving commercial motor vehicles.
Preliminary findings indicate Warren was driving a blue 2012 Freightliner westbound in the left lane while hauling a manufactured home. A white 2013 Freightliner pulling a box trailer was traveling in the right lane. For reasons still under investigation, Warren’s vehicle veered right, striking the second truck. Both vehicles then crossed the roadway, entered the median, and collided with the Vancil Road overpass bridge support.
Warren, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene. Okuoimose, a passenger in the same vehicle who was also unrestrained, sustained fatal injuries. The driver of the second Freightliner, properly restrained, suffered minor injuries.
Impairment is not suspected, though routine toxicology samples were obtained. The crash remains under active investigation.
In the aftermath, state police emphasized the lifesaving importance of seat belt use, noting that Louisiana law requires all occupants to be properly restrained. As loved ones grieve, this tragedy stands as a solemn reminder of the critical role safety measures play on the road.
